Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a science-based approach that helps people learn new skills and reduce behaviors that interfere with daily life. It focuses on understanding why behaviors occur and using positive, practical strategies to create meaningful change.
ABA can be used to teach communication, social, self-help, and coping skills, as well as support emotional regulation and independence. Every plan is individualized—built around each person’s strengths, goals, and family values—to promote lasting progress in real-world settings.
BrightBound Behavior was created to make high-quality behavioral support accessible to all families—whether or not a child has a diagnosis or qualifies for insurance-funded services. Many children don’t meet medical necessity requirements for in-clinic ABA or may not be approved due to their age, leaving families without support. BrightBound bridges that gap by offering flexible, individualized consulting for families. BrightBound is also a convienient option for families who are awaiting a diagnosis, on clinic waitlists, or transitioning from clinic-based services into school or home settings.
Our approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. We focus on meaningful goals, real-life routines, and empowering caregivers with tools that truly work across home, school, and community environments.
BrightBound offers a variety of flexible, evidence-based services designed to meet families where they are. Services include parent and caregiver coaching, to support managing challenging behaviors, social skills and language development support, and behavior consultation for specific challenges such as toileting, self-help, emotional regulation, safety skills, and food adversity.
We also offer three levels of service to fit each family’s needs:
• Individual Support Sessions – Single sessions focused on specific goals or challenges, ideal for families seeking short-term guidance or targeted support.
• Comprehensive Behavior Support Plans – In-depth assessments (completed in person or virtually) that lead to a detailed, individualized plan with practical strategies parents can follow at home and in the community. These plans also include an hour-long support session to review the plan in depth.
• Continued Support Plans – Ongoing collaboration with a BCBA through weekly or biweekly meetings, allowing for coaching, feedback, and adjustments to ensure the plan remains effective and manageable for the family.
A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is a highly trained professional with a master’s degree in behavior analysis or a related field, extensive supervised clinical experience, and certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
BCBAs specialize in understanding behavior and using evidence-based strategies to teach meaningful skills, improve communication, and reduce challenging behaviors. Working with a BCBA means partnering with someone who blends science and compassion—creating individualized, practical plans that fit your family’s goals and daily life while supporting long-term growth and success.
